Materials and Technique
Each piece begins in the form of environmentally friendly recycled sheet or wire. In my studio I use low-tech tools such as hammers, pliers, files, saws, torches and my hands, utilizing the traditional fabrication techniques of sawing, forging, forming, soldering and polishing to transform the materials into a finished piece. I sketch minimally, instead working directly in the metal, beginning with an idea, a few simple lines and curves, building, adding elements, and playing with the metal until it is worked into a final form.
My jewelry is handcrafted one piece at a time or in limited series, resulting in designs in which no two are exactly alike.
I enjoy custom design projects as well as tailoring my designs, creating modifications and crafting the metal to suit the individual.
Craftsmanship is always guaranteed. If ever a repair is necessary, don’t hesitate to contact me.
